Building resilience in the most vulnerable communities has never been more important. While the COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in the world, it does not affect us all equally. The poorest and most vulnerable are most at risk.

The Covid-19 outbreak has overly emphasized the importance of hand washing with soap to reduce the spread of the virus. It’s also act as a sure way of preventing infection from other infectious diseases. Hence the project did the activity as was planned. Ministry of health personnel, water committee representatives, parent coordinating committees, parent volunteers and teachers took part. The distribution was done immediately after sensitization meetings. For the two schools; a total of 1,818 soaps and face masks were distributed (902 in kiburanga primary and 916 Kubweye primary respectively). Each child got one mask and one bar soap.
